Dad’s Dry Rub Baby Back Ribs With Dad’s Award Winning Bar-B-Q Sauce

Ingredients
Dry Rub:
- 1 ea tsp. cumin
- 1 ea. ½ cup brown sugar packed
- 1½ tbs. black pepper
- 2 ea. tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 ea. tbs. onion powder
- 1 ea. tsp. salt
Dad’s Rib Sauce:
- 1 ea. 24 oz. katchup
- 1 ea. cup sugar
- 2 ea. tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 ea. teaspoons chili powder
- 1 ea. ½ ea. teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 ea. tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 ea. ¼ cup tarragon vinegar
- 1 ea. ¼ cup Balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients of dry rub and set aside
- Mix all ingredients of Denny’s rib sauce and set aside
- Puncture or remove membrane from back of ribs
- Thoroughly coat ribs with dry rub
- Wrap ribs in aluminum foil and refrigerate for 4-6 hours
- Preheat gas grill to approx. 230-245 degrees (turn on only one burner)
- Place wood chip box filled with water soaked wood chips directly over lit burner
- Remove ribs from the refrigerator, remove aluminum foil, place on the far side of the grill, and grill for approximately 5-6 hours or for the amount of time the meat pulls away about 1/2″ from the bone. Time will vary depending on how your grill holds a temperature.
- At this point, start to brush on ribs a generous coating of “Denny’s Rib Sauce”. Close the grill lid and allow coated ribs to cook for about 10 minutes. Repeat this step 2-3 times.
- “OR IF YOU HAVE AN AIR FRYER”
- Remove ribs from the grill and generously coat ribs with Denny’s rib sauce.
- Place ribs in preheated air fryer and air fry on high for 5 minutes.
- Remove after 5 minutes and rebaste with Denny’s rib sauce and cook again in the air fryer for 5 minutes.
