Grandpa’s Eggs (soft boiled eggs with saltine crackers)

Notes
Removing eggs from water in exactly 4 minutes is critical to prevent eggs from being under (runny white) or over (yolk hard) cooked
Ingredients
- 3 ea. eggs
- saltine crackers
Instructions
- Carefully break open 3 ea. eggs and put into a small bowl and make sure yolk is not broken
- Fill a medium size pot ½ full with water
- Turn heat on high and bring water to a rolling boil
- Turn off heat and leave pot on burner
- Immediately and gently introduce eggs to water
- Use timer and allow eggs to remain in water for exactly 4 minutes
- Removing eggs from water in exactly 4 minutes is critical to prevent eggs from being under (runny white) or over (yolk hard) cooked
- Remove eggs from water with large draining spoon or similar utensil
- Place eggs in bowl and immediately cut up with a knife and fork
- Crush saltine crackers (easiest is to place the crackers in a sandwich size baggie) and then add to cut up eggs.
- The amount of crackers used will vary to taste.
