Pork Chops and Potatoes

Ingredients
- 6 ea. pork chops (with or without bone) seasoned salt
- 1 ea. small size (sweet/Vidalia) onion
- ½ cup of milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 ea. cup of canned French fried onions
- 1 ea. tbsp. cooking oil
- 4 ea. large potatoes
- ½ soup can of water
- 1 ea. can (10.75 oz.) condensed cream of celery soup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium high heat
- Season pork chops with seasoned salt to taste
- Brown pork chops in skillet until brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side)
- Remove pork chops to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
- In a bowl, mix milk, sour cream, salt, pepper, water, and condensed cream of celery soup.
- Slice as thin as possible the potatoes and onions. If you don’t they may not cook properly.
- Layer potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish then cover the potatoes with a layer of onions and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour half of the soup mixture over the potatoes and onions
- Place pork chops over the potatoes and onions.
- Pour the remaining half of the soup mixture over pork chops.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil or a dish cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes.
- Remove dish covering and coat top of pork chops with French fried onions
- Continue baking for approximately 10 more minutes or until centers of pork chops are heated to 145 degrees.
