TGIF Friday’s Fried Green Beans With Wasabi Ranch Dip

Ingredients
- *****Wasabi Cucumber Ranch Dip******
- ½ cup bottled ranch dressing (Hidden Valley)
- 1 ea. Tbsp. milk
- ¼ cucumber peeled, seeded, minced
- ⅛ Tsp. salt
- 1 ½ Tsp. prepared horseradish
- 1 ea. Tsp. cider vinegar
- 1 ea. pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 ea. Tsp. wasabi powder (substitute wasabi paste or wasabi sauce)
- Combine dip ingredients into blender and blend until smooth
- Place in a bowl, cover and chill until ready for use.
- (dip will thicken as it chills)
- ******Fried Green Beans******
- 1 ea. egg beaten
- 1 ea. cup of milk
- 1 ea. cup of all purpose flour
- 6 – 8 oz. fresh green beans
- 4 ea. cups chicken or vegetable broth
- ¾ Tsp. salt
- 1 ea. cup plain or seasoned breadcrumbs
- ¼ Tsp. onion powder
- ⅛ Tsp. garlic powder
- ½ Tsp. black pepper
- Crisco for frying vegetables
Instructions
- Place beans in broth, bring to a boil, and cook for 15 min.
- Then place in cold water to stop cooking
- Mix beaten egg with milk in a shallow bowl
- Place flour in another separate bowl
- Combine bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder into a third bowl
- Take a handful of beans out of the water, shake off excess liquid,, and coat beans with the flour.
- Dip beans one time into egg/milk mixture, then dip into breadcrumb mixture
- Heat Crisco to 350 degrees and fry green beans until golden brown (approx. 1 ½ minutes)
